National Seminar of Department of Education at Mewar Institute.
The Department of Education, Mewar Institute, Vasundhra organized a National Seminar on ‘Participatory Teaching and Learning in School: Significance and Constraints on Wednesday. Participants emphasized the need of adopting work class techniques to enliven classroom teaching. Chairman of Mewar Group of Institutions, Dr. Ashok Kr. Gadiya stressed the significance of evolving our own teaching models and paradigms in order to make our education system relevant, effective and globally competitive. We should inculcate an urge to learn and excel.
Dr. Alka Agarwal, Director, elaborated the main themes and objectives of the Seminar. Chairman at the Seminar, Prof. K.K. Vashishta, former Director, Elementary Education, NCERT, brought out the participative element in class teaching. The keynote speaker Prof. Sindhu Bala, Head of the Dept. VMLG College, Ghaziabad further explained the latest enabling and effective pedagogical techniques. The other keynote speaker Dr. Shubhra Mangal, Principal, Chet Ram Sharma College of Edcuation, Noida, was highly illuminating with a power point presentation. HOD Dr. Sukirti Goel urged a friendly participation approach in school teaching. According to Dy. HOD Mr. Pramod Kr. Madeshia, there were as many as 230 participants including from NCR & other cities. In all, 21 papers were presented. At the conclusion, certificates of participation were distributed.
