Under the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative by the Government of India from April 3 to April 18, 2024, the 40th UP NCC Battalion of Galgotias University conducted a cleanliness campaign on their university campus. The initiative was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Galgotias University, Dr. Mallikharjun Babu, who personally led the cleanliness drive. Following his lead, the Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. K. Jain, and the NCC trained Caretaker Officer of Galgotias University, Dushyant Rana, joined hands with the NCC cadets to conduct the cleanliness campaign on the university premises.

The primary objective of this cleanliness campaign program is environmental conservation. Today, environmental conservation has become a significant challenge for the entire world. Therefore, Galgotias University welcomes this important step by the Government of India and has initiated this program in collaboration with its teachers and NCC cadets to raise awareness about environmental conservation among the general public. CEO of Galgotias University, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, emphasized the importance of such programs in raising awareness among the general public for environmental conservation. Today, ensuring the safety of the entire earth undoubtedly requires environmental protection. For this, we need to work with utmost honesty and dedication on crucial subjects such as tree plantation, water conservation, and cleanliness campaigns. Only then can we hand over a “Safe Earth” to the coming generations.
