SNATCHER ARRESTED WITH TRACKER DEVICE

INCIDENT : On 21.08.2015, complainant Nishant Verma R/o Janak Puri came out from his house to send a message, as the network problem inside the house. When he was sending messages to his friends; one person came on scooty from behind and snatched his i-6 phone and ran away towards Sagarpur. Complainant went inside his home and narrated the incident to his wife and switched on his I-Pad. He took his wife’s phone and chased the accused with the tracker device. Complaint’s wife Minakshi Verma was providing assistance by providing locations to him with tracker device. Accused changed different locations but complainant persistently chased him and ultimately succeeded in locating the accused. When complainant saw the accused, the later pushed his scooty and accused fell down on ground. Complainant raised an alarm and with the help of public and Ct Karambir, who was also in patrolling, nabbed the accused, identified as Sandeep Kumar. A case vide FIR No. 1037/2015 u/s 356/379/411 was registered and the investigation was taken up earnestly.

TEAM AND INVESTIGATION :-

Under the close supervision of ACP/Vikas Puri, Mrs. Omwati Malik and on the directions of Insp. R.S. Meena -SHO / JanakPuri a team comprising SI Ganga Ram and Ct Karambir constituted and accused interrogated at length. Accused disclosed that previously he had committed 4 cases of snatching with his two associates namely Ravinder Pal and Aman.

RECOVERY:-

With the arrest of accused snatched phone i-6 has been recovered from his possession.

MODUS OPERANDI :- Accused Sanddep Kumar disclosed that he oftenly targeted to the alone persons and found engaged in chatting.

PROFILES OF THE ACCUSED :- Sandeep Kumar S/o Mahinder Singh R/o A-12 2^nd floor Shyam Nagar, Tilak Nagar New Delhi.

Sandeep Kumar S/o Mahinder Singh R/o A-12 2^nd floor Shyam Nagar, Tilak Nagar New Delhi is 22 years old he studied up to 11^th class from Kolakdhar Khalsa Sr. Sec. School Subhash Nagar. His father has been expired and mother is house wife. He is working as recovery agent in BSES and getting salary 9000/- per month. Accused admitted that this low amount is not suffice to accomplish his luxurious life and that’s why he commits snatching.
