Metro service is expected to start for Noida-Greater Noida metro link from December this year. This route had 21 stations but the question that had many worried was how commuters would would reach to these metro stations. Taking concern of this NMRC has planned to start feeder bus service between different sectors and metro stations. For now cluster buses will be used as feeder buses. In the first phase of this service 50 bus routes will be decided that will connect sectors and stations so that commuter should not have to look for other transport options for last mile connectivity.

Work on 29.7 km long metro link has already been completed. Trial runs are in progress and by september verification of all the safety measures on the route is expected to be completed and there after track will be ready for the passenger service. In first phase around 65 thousand commuters are estimated to be benefited by the service.

Changes have also been proposed in the routes of AC cluster bus services which are already in service in the city. New routes of these buses will be connecting metro stations of Noida-Greater Noida metro link. In first phase when 50 buses will be deployed it is expected that they will have their services on an interval of 10 to 15 minutes. All these blue prints have been sent to administration and amendments are being made as per logistic inputs.
