NMRC to make Noida-Greater Noida metro corridor sound proof to tackle noise pollution issues

Metro corridor over Noida Greater metro rail route will be made sound proof so that sound pollution through metro can be restricted.
NMRC will install sound barriers on metro route which falls over areas which have schools, hospital, religious places and residential societies. For this project company selection was all ready been done and the company will act like a adviser to NMRC. They will identify the regions and suggest about the capacity of the sound barriers that have to be installed. Agency will submit its report to NMRC after doing survey within a month and then a NOC will be granted by Environment ministry.
As per NMRC officers the selected company had signed the deal in 11.40 Lakh for conducting survey over the whole route that had a total of 21 stations. Metro will be operational by December on this route . As most of the stretch of this routes cover residential areas which comes under green belt so taking care of that NMRC had decided to made the route sound proof.
