New Delhi, 5 September 2022: In Delhi’s Excise Policy Case, CBI has revealed that no accused have been given a clean chit, soon after Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister boasts about getting a clean chit after CBI did not find anything in the lockers and premises.
“The Excise policy case is still under probe. As such no clean chit has been given to any of the accused. The mischievous and misleading statement of Manish Sisodia is an attempt to divert attention from the ongoing probe in the case,” the agency said.
“I am happy that I have got a clean chit. Nothing was found in my bank locker just like nothing was found at my residence during the CBI raid,” Manish Sisodia said.
“AAP has found that Kumar was being pressured to fabricate a bogus case against me in an improper manner and pressure was being built to arrest me. He committed himself under pressure,” Sisodia added.
However, the CBI vehemently refutes Manish Sisodia’s malicious and inaccurate allegation. It is also made clear that the late gentlemen officer Jitendra Kumar had nothing to do with the case’s inquiry.
Officer Kumar did not hold anyone accountable for his death, according to Delhi Police, which is conducting an investigation into the death, CBI said.
