Noida Authority nominates Gautam Buddha University for social impact assessment of upcoming projects

Greater Noida (04/03/2022): Gautam Buddha University has been nominated for social impact assessment in the context of the land to be acquired by the Noida Industrial Development Authority for the planned development of Noida. In this connection, today a six member team of the university collected necessary information from the project affected families in Chhaprauli Bangar, Noida by interacting with the affected family members which is necessary to know the type of demands by them and how this land acquisition is going to affect them economically, socially and culturally. Under the Fair Redressal and Transparency Act 2013 in Land Acquisition, a detailed discussion was held regarding the problems, apprehensions and demands of the affected families. The team of Gautam Buddha University has noted down their concerns and apprehensions which are very important to prepare a report of the same.

University will submit its report to the district administration within a week as per the terms of reference. Once the report is submitted, District administration will study the report and after there they will arrange a public hearing with the project affected families/persons in the presence of district administration to give them ample opportunity to share their concerns and apprehensions before the officials as per the requirement of land acquisition act. The report will be submitted before the administration within a week.

The University team of SIA (Social Impact Assessment) is headed by Dr Vivek Mishra, Nodal Officer of SIA team and other team members are Dr Rakesh Srivastava, Dr Om Prakash, Dr Amit Awasthi, Dr Arvind Kumar Singh, Azaz Ahmad, Ajay kumar and Surendra Kumar.
