Noida Authority relaxes policy to allow PG’s in residential sectors, approves elevated road parallel to Shahadra drain

Noida Authority’s 194th Board Meeting was organized today. In this first board meeting of this financial year 2018-19, a budget of 4350.11 crore rupees was tabled and passed. The recovery target has been fixed at 4387.30 crore whereas the expenditure has been fixed at 4350.11 crore rupees.

The board has also temporarily revoked its decision of levying 15% combined lease rent and have reverted it back to 11% combined lease rent for deposits which are made on or before 31st July 2018. From 1st August onwards 15% lease rent scheme will again be applicable.

Policy for Paying Guest house in residential sectors:

In a significant step taken by Noida authority to increase its tax income from vast numbers of illegal or unorganized Paying Guests house, Authority has laid down specific norms and have allowed maximum 50% of residential space to be used for such purposes in Noida sectors. However it has fixed the condition that such residential complexes must be situated on either 18 meter or bigger roads or must be at corner plots with similar specification. Also mixed land usage tax has to be paid to authority for approval of such paying guest accommodation facilities in residential sectors. The suggestions regarding the same will also be invited by public on this.

Elevated Road to Ease Traffic Load

An elevated road has been proposed to be built from Chilla regulator Delhi sector 14 A to MP-3 road (mahamaya flyover). This 5.54 Kilometre road will pass parallel to Sahadra drain and would be constructed with a cost of 650 crore rupees. It will ease traffic load on Sector 14A, 15A, 16A roads and would make it more convenient to cross between Ghaziabad to Sarita vihar or Delhi to Greater Noida etc.

Two crore for Gautam Buddha University Scholarship fund :

Noida Authority has also approved proposal to provide 2 crore rupees for scholarship fund setup at Gautam Buddha University.
