On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti Noida will get its long awaited underpass at the busy interaction near NTPC in sector 24 and 32.

As per the schedule it was to be completed by 2016 but it kept on getting late and got delayed by 2 years. However now the wait is about to get over.

The reason behind delay is that the area which was enmarked for the construction had several utility services passing beneath the ground like water pipeline, gas pipeline, electricity cables, sewers etc.
Length of the underpass is 640 meter costing 55 crore .
This under pass will be the biggest underpass in Noida which will help in smooth movement of traffic and release the congestion at the intersection of 24, 25A, 32, 33A.

This intersection is also known as NTPC Chowk used by thousands of motorists but route is diverted here since 2015 because of the construction of underpass.

Alok Tandon CEO Noida Authority yesterday visited the site and directed the official to complete the work within the current timeline. For providing a beautiful look to the underpass officials had planned to plaster the wall and pillars of entire structure and then it will be decorated with artistic design. Soon artist will also be hired for this and till September final touch will be given to the underpass.

Once it will become operational it will ease the traffic over the whole stretch from sector 21 to Dadri Surajpur road.
