The biggest problem in present time which Noida is facing is of waste disposal. For finding a permanent solution of this problem now a three level meeting is going to be held in presence of officers of Indian Standard Bureau. Meeting is planned to take place in next week.

For this Authority is preparing to present their view on the matter and make clear their limitations in this regard. It is being given top most priority that the solution must fulfill the standards set-up by Indian Standard Bureau.

On an average the city discharges 650 metric ton house hold waste on a daily basis but there is no permanent and proper way to dispose it. The problem of garbage disposal is getting worse day by day. Authority also had invoked subsidized compost machine program but the members of RWA’s did not show much interest in it. As city doesn’t have its own dumping site earlier waste was dumped into sector -137 but after the order of NGT it has also been stopped.

In sector-123, 25 acre of land is finalized for a permanent waste disposal plant and it should be completed in next six months as per the order of NGT but now residents living there in societies are opposing it. So problem is still the same so for this a three-party meeting is proposed. In the meeting firstly Authority will present its views in front of Indian Standard Bureau. After that Resident Associations will be given chance and then the Sanitation workers will be presenting their views on the matter.
