Noida Authority to procure 35 cryogenic tankers – but not meant for the district alone

Noida, 10th May: To combat the Covid and oxygen crisis in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the Noida Authority has been handed the responsibility to procure 35 cryogenic tankers on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Each of these cryogenic tankers will have a capacity to refill about 700-800 oxygen cylinders.

The Authority has alredy issued “request for proposal” for procurement of these tankers. Soon, global tender will be floated for this. Interested companies can apply online till 24 May.

Noida Authority officials said that 20 of these 35 tankers will have a capacity of 10 tonne, 10 of these will have a capacity of 20 tonne and 5 tankers will come with a capacity of 25 tonne.

Currently, these tankers are owned only by organizations such as DRDO, Reliance group and Adani group.

Earlier, many news reports claimed that these tankers were meant only for the Gautam Buddh Nagar district, however the Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari refuted this claim, saying that the tankers are being procured for the entire state.
