Noida-Greater Noida abuzz with festive shopping rush, GST impact visible!

The city is busy in preparing for Diwali and Dhanteras . And especially the showrooms of jewellery and cars are witnessing huge crowds. As per reports 700 cars are already booked as to avoid last moment festive rush and take on time delivery at this auspicious occasion.

Cars costing less than 10 lakhs are more in demand. Director of a renowned vehicle showroom in Noida said that around 600 peoples have already booked their car so that they can get keys on the auspicious day of Dhanteras . However he added that last year till this time 1000 bookings were done but this year seems like due to GST advance booking are quite low.

As we Indians has special place for yellow metal in our heart and we don’t need any occasion to buy it still Dhanteras as a festival is considered very auspicious for buying golds.
Many jewellers from sector-18 market say that market is witnessing an adverse impact of demonetization and GST but costumers were still buying gold. The difference is that instead of buying jewellery of 1 lakh people are now purchasing in budget of 60 – 70 thousand.

As the demand of low budget jewellery is high so people were also doing advance bookings. This year buyer’s trend is leaning towards jewelries based on famous Bollywood epics and people are asking for latest trends in this domain. It is however coming as a relief for the market that PAN cards are not required for purchase of gold less than 2 lakhs.
