Noida: Three crore cash recovered from ex-IPS officers residence

NOIDA (01/02/2022): In a recent raid by Income Tax department, IT sleuths have recovered cash worth 3 crore rupees from private lockers being operated at the residence of a former IPS officer.
According to officials, Rs 3 crores in cash has been recovered from lockers at property of retired UP IPS officer Ram Narayan Singh in sector 50, Noida.
The private locker business was being operated in the basement and according to sources even his wife has been involved in the same. However, absence of KYC and other documents have raised questions over authenticity of the business.
Hence, all the lockers have been currently seized.
With search for documentation and tracing of the papers associated with lockers, IT officials are summoning the owners of the lockers.
