Noida to remain deprived of water from Ganges during 4th to 27th October

Noida, 03/10/19: From October 4, residents across Noida will have to face the brunt of water supply due to disconnection of Ganga water for cleanliness work in Ganga canal. The cleanliness work is scheduled from Thursday till October 27th.The irrigation department has begun the cleanliness work in the canal originating from haridwar that provides water to Noida and Hindon region.



Upper Ganga Canal in Haridwar has been shut due to excessive silt deposits from heavy rain in Uttarakhand. So, for clearing the silt irrigating department needs to stop the flow of water.

People residing in various societies of different sectors across the city have to be prepared for the shortge of Water supply. While authority will be supplying ground water and for that water pipelines have been checked and they were cleaned in order to prepare for the coming days.
