All India permit vehicles will no more be allowed to operate in NCR and the transport department will take necessary steps regarding this shortly.

On Wednesday a review meeting was held at the Sector-33 Transport Office regarding the same, during which officials had detailed discussions with the Assistant Divisional Transport Officer Administration Arunendra Kumar Pandey for the department’s gradual revenue collection.

After meeting he briefed reporters that many vehicles in the NCR are operating with all India permits, while their operations should be outside the NCR. Soon the investigation will be launched in the matter.

In order to stop their movement in the NCR, action will be taken by officers of transport department.  As per the order by National Green Tribunal (NGT) it has clearly stated that only those vehicles will be allowed in the NCR, which are CNG Operated. But as of now most of the All India permits vehicle plying in the region are diesel operated which is a violation of NGT order.

This order only effective in Delhi that too because of strictness shown by Delhi Police, but these vehicles are operating in the NCR regions of Uttar Pradesh unhindered. An attempt to curb this movement is being Chalked out to make NCR free of pollution.
