Odisha Approves Projects Worth ₹3457cr, 14,000 People to get employment

Odisha (09/06/2023): The Odisha government’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, approved 18 industrial projects valued about 3,457 crore on Thursday. According to officials, the initiatives will provide jobs for 14,436 individuals in the state.

During the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022, ten out of 18 of these investment proposals were received. This demonstrates the conclave’s enormous success in drawing investments and reinforcing Odisha’s standing as second among states in garnering ongoing investments in the fiscal year 2022-23.

An official stated that the state government is committed to turning investment intentions into reality. Projects in diverse sectors such as metal downstream and ancillary, pharmaceutical, food processing, cement, textile and apparel, IT and ESDM, and Agro Processing received approvals at the SLSWCA meeting.

The accepted projects would be implemented in districts like as Jajpur, Khurda, Koraput, Cuttack, Sundergarh, Bhadrak, Sonepur, Bolangir, and Boudh.

The committee has approved nine metal projects, five agro and food processing projects, and one project each in the textiles, cement, IT and ESDM, and pharmaceuticals sectors.
