Olympian Sanjeev Singh trains Gaglotias students in archery

Olympian Sanjeev Singh, a recipient of both the Arjuna Award and the Dronacharya Award, and former High Performance Director at the Sports Authority of India, visited Galgotias University to provide specialized archery training to the students. With his extensive experience in the sport and leadership roles, including his tenure as Senior Vice President at Tata Housing and Tata Realty, Singh shared invaluable insights with the university’s archery team. These students recently qualified for the 2023 Uttar Pradesh edition of the prestigious “Khelo India University Games.”
During his visit, Singh not only explained advanced techniques for excelling in archery competitions but also conducted practical demonstrations that energized the students, boosting their confidence. The team, already preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games, benefited from this expert guidance, further sharpening their skills and enthusiasm for the sport.
In other sports-related news, the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Inter-Technical University Sports Fest 2024-25 (AKTU Zonal Fest), hosted by Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, is set to take place on October 23 and 24, 2024. This event, organized under the aegis of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, will see around 2,300 participants from various colleges in the Gautam Buddha Nagar zone competing in sports such as athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, kabaddi, kho-kho, table tennis, and volleyball.
Sanjeev Singh will also grace this esteemed event as the chief guest, making his presence a highlight of the fest.
