New Delhi(31/01/2020): Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has called Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan anti-migrant on calling Kejriwal as an outsider. Sanjay Singh held a press conference at the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters and said, “It shows your petty mentality. It reflects your anti-migrant mindset. Arvind Kejriwal, who was born in UP and came to Haryana and has been in Delhi for 5 consecutive years. Is he not entitled to be called the son of Delhi, is this your mentality?”

In fact, during a meeting in Madipur, Delhi on 28 January, BJP MP from West Delhi, Pravesh Verma, described Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as a terrorist. In response to this, on Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal had said in a press conference that ‘Delhi people should decide whether I am their son, brother or terrorist’.

After this, during a press conference at Delhi BJP Headquarters on Thursday evening, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Dr. Harsh Vardhan had taken a dig at Arvind Kejriwal’s statement that he is a son of Delhi and said, ‘Sometimes Arvind Kejriwal says that I am the son of Delhi. At first we do not understand where the sons of Delhi are from. I know that he was born in Hisar, Haryana and I also know that when Anna Hazare’s movement was going on in Ramlila Maidan, he used to come from Ghaziabad.’

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself replied to the statement of Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Twitter. Kejriwal tweeted and said, “Doctor Sahib, you hate me. You abuse me. How can you speak alien to all those born in UP and Haryana and settled in Delhi? They are alien to BJP, but they are ours and part of the family. We Delhiites adopted them all, made them our family. “
