Opposition has potential to remove BJP in 2024, results will surprise: Rahul Gandhi in US

Washington, 02nd June 2023: The Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday put up a confident face and claimed that the opposition parties in India certainly have the potential to remove a BJP government in 2024.

The leader, currently on a US tour, spoke of the same while interacting with the journalists at the National Press Club in Washington.

He further accused the current government of capturing institutions and claimed freedom was vanishing in India. He commented on his conviction in the PM Modi defamation case, which led to him losing his seat in the parliament and claimed that the move was a gift allowing him to ‘redefine’ himself.

This comes as the country gears up for the elections next year, which has seen political parties reaching out to allies and increased talks amongst them. The opposition parties in India currently plan to build a massive coalition against the BJP government.
