Out of 20.87 lakh NEET candidates, 11.45 lakh students qualify

New Delhi, 14th June 2023: The National Testing Agency announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 on 13th June.

The final results show that out of the total 20,38,596 who appeared for the examinations, 11,45,976 Successfully cleared the examinations. There were 3,12,405 General candidates and 98,322 EWS applicants. The total number of OBC candidates who passed the exam was 5,25,194. In the SC category, 1,53,674 students passed the exam, while 56,381 passed in the ST category.

It was Prabhanjan J, hailing from Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh, who were tied at the top spot in the NEET-UG results as they scored 720/720 in the examinations. Punjab’s Pranjal Agarwal had topped the NEET UG 2023 Results among girls by securing 99.99 percentile and AIR 4.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will now conduct the Counselling for 15 per cent All India Quota Seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU and AMU as the next step in the procedure. The candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats per the directions of DGHS, and Counselling will be stopped once the seats are exhausted.
