GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research organised 3 days extensive Induction Programme for PGDM Batch 2016-2018 on July 7 – 9, 2016 on the theme – Corporate Expectations & Insights for Aspiring Managers”. The Induction program was inaugurated by Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, G.L Bajaj Group and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, G.L Bajaj Group welcomed the students to GL Bajaj family and conveyed his best wishes to the new Batch (2016-2018). He emphasize on the importance of management education in today’s competitive world in transformation of society. On this occasion Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, G.L Bajaj Group also inaugurated the Bi-Annual Magazine “Nouvelle”. While addressing the audience Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR shared that the prime objective of GLBIMR is to develop bright aspiring enthusiastic students into management leaders and offer them the best opportunities of corporate world.The main aim of this programme was to expose the young aspiring managers to the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world. The extensive Induction programme was witnessed by diverse speakers and illustrious leaders from the varied arena of Corporate and government sector. The second day of Induction programme was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Mr. Pulock Bhattacharji, Vice President, BSE Institute Limited and Guests of Honour, Mr. S. Jagota, Director, Global Business Solution; Dr. R.Singh, Training Director – International Programme Division, NISEBUD, MSME; Dr. Binod Kumar, Ex Professor, IIM Kolkata; Mr. Sudhir Zutshi, Director– Industry & Government Affairs, Market Access, New Business Initiatives- South Asia; Dr. Pooran Chandra Pandey, Executive Director, United Nations Global Compact Network India; Mr.S.C Pradhan, Senior Economic Advisor, South Arican High Commission New Delhi; The speakers emphasized the importance of Cross-Cultural Management, Effective Communication and Time Management.On July 9, 2016, Induction programme was graced by Senior Alumni Mr. Rohit Gandotra, Business Manager, North America Operation, Damco Group and a renownedMotivational Trainer Mr. V.K.Bansal.  Alumni Mr. Rohit Gandotra shared his valuable corporate experiences and motivated aspiring Manager to utilize each and every opportunity provided by the Institute. Mr.V.K.Bansal, Motivational Trainer (Former-V.P.,Shriram Group ) shared the importance of Yoga and Mudragyan to keep mind, soul and body active in this competitive environment. The program included variety of activities such as Team-Building Activities, Workshops and Informative Lectures. Audiences comprising of Students, Members of Governing Board, Media, Parents, representatives of Professional bodies, Faculty and Staff Members of the Institute attended the glittering event.
