What according to you is the USP of ITS education group and why do students prefer it?

ITS education group has 23 years old legacy and in these 23 years thousands of students have gained knowledge and education at our group. They are very gainfully placed in different parts of globe. Our students working across the world in different positions are successfully delivering what is expected of them because the education and learning imparted to them at ITS.

How has been the placements at ITS in this academic year and are you satisfied with the performance of your students?

ITS education group and ITS enginnering colleges are very much focussing on the core placements for all the core branches. There has been this trend that students of all branches get more opportunities in IT companies but we have this continuous effort that our core branch students get place in core companies itself. We take extra care in this direction to ensure that civil, mechanical or electrical get place in those companies itself. This can also be considered as a major USP of ITS engineering college.

What according to you should be the parameter of selecting branches and what branches do you see getting preference of most students at ITS?

Basically selection of stream is a personal choice. It depends on where on sees himself or herself in 10 years down the line. Secondly, if you are very strong in numbers may be mechanical or civil is more suited. If you have better abstract representation than may be computer science, electrics etc. become more preferable.

However this branch preference is cyclic, previously there was more demand of electrical and mechanical then trend shifted towards CS and IT and this year again we are witnessing an upsurge in circuit branches.

Among large number of AKTU colleges, where do you place ITS engineering college?

AKTU has been ranking as the best engineering college in terms of start-culture. So if a student has an inclination towards start-up, ITS can be the best place to pursue that passion along with traditional degree education. We have a very thriving incubation centre. It is said that businesses fail during first three years, hence ITS extends supports for first 1000 days. We provide support to set-up, scale and operate start-up within our premises.

There are already six companies which have started their operation within our colleges. We have a dedicated start-up cell from where they operate under a very supportive environment.

Apart from studies what are other co-curricular activities which students can expect to be part of at ITS?

Students have lot of aspiration and they always want to express themselves. We have street-play groups, we have lot of cultural committees’ and in those activities there are lot of opportunities to express themselves. We have a schedule where six month is dedicated to cricket and six month to football along with other indoor sports. We have a full year calendar that has various sports activities planned throughout the year. We also have two full-fledged lawn tennis courts. So students can come here not just for a very good technical education for all round development as well.
