PM Modi directs to make all possible efforts to bring mortal remains of Naveen killed in Ukraine

March 13, Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security in Delhi. During the meeting, he directed the authorities to make all possible efforts to bring back the mortal remains of Naveen Shekharappa, who lost his life in Kharkiv, Ukraine during Russian Shelling on March 1.

The meeting was held to review India’s Security preparedness and the prevailing global scenario in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

He was briefed on the latest developments and different aspects of India’s security preparedness in the border areas as well as in the maritime and air domain.

PM Modi was also briefed on the latest developments in Ukraine, including the details of Operation Ganga to evacuate Indian nationals, along with some citizens of India’s neighbouring countries, from Ukraine.

So far the Government of India has brought back 20,000 Indians stranded in Ukraine— the war-torn Country, through its neighbouring countries.
