New Delhi: Proving the idiom that creativity knows no bounds, author, film maker and poet Laxmana Dalmia’s first book of prose-poetry One Soul Many Lives got launched at The Bikaner House by stalwart leader Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi.

A book that links fine arts with words in its pages, it’s launch was also marked with an eclectic art show curated by Goergina Maddox and presented by Ashwini Pai Bahadur, Artspeaks India. A culturally enriched evening saw the launch of the book followed by a dramatic reading and a Kathak performance by Shruti Gupta Chandra to music by Pandit Madho Prasad.

The event was attended by Varun Bahl, Raja Randhir Singh, Neelima Dalmia Adhar, Tarana Sawhney, Suhel Seth, Seema Kohli, Vir Munshi to name a few.

A panel discussion on ‘Building everlasting cultural dominance: Is art, literature and poetry more powerful than guns’ had a glittering panel thrash out the subject. The grand finale of evening however was a musical performance by three front running  former bureaucrats and nation builders who happen to be Laxmana’s contemporaries. Guests were floored by the musical rendition of  Dr. S.Y. Qureishi ( Former Chief Election Commissioner),) and Ms. Nirupama Rao (Former Foreign Secretary and former Ambassador to USA/ China).

Speaking to Ten News, poetess Laxmana Dalmia said, “I have spent a lifetime exploring the myriad creative domains that together make this world a more pleasant place. To the arts born, i have spent my life nurturing and enriching the creative world. As Treasurer IPTA i continue my quest for bringing purity back to every creative medium.”
