Political infighting in Maha Vikas Aghadi as rumors swirl of Ajit Pawar’s exit

New Delhi (India), April 13, 2023: Amidst rumors of Ajit Pawar’s departure from Maha Vikas Aghadi, a war of words has erupted between the NCP leader and Congress state unit chief Nana Patole.

Ajit Pawar hit out at Patole over comments that led to differences within the alliance, urging him to instead raise objections with Jayant Patil or Uddhav Thackeray. However, Patole insisted that he had already conveyed his views to Patil and warned against an NCP-BJP alliance, stating that Congress had a “Plan B” in place.

The infighting in the MVA alliance was sparked by pro-BJP statements made by NCP chiefs Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar.

This led to concerns over potential defections from the alliance and confusion among party workers. Despite this, Patole remained resolute, warning against any alliance with the BJP and reassuring supporters that the Congress was ready with a backup plan.
