Prahlad Sahani, Four-time Congress MLA from Chandani Chowk joins AAP

New Delhi (06/10/2019) : The Congress party received a major setback in Delhi on Sunday as senior Congress leader and former four-time MLA from Chandni Chowk, Prahlad Singh Sahni joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
He joined the party in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal today at AAP office.
It is being told that Prahlad was angry about the ticket in the upcoming election. He resigned Congress and then joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Prahlad Singh Sahni has been an MLA on Congress ticket for four times. But this time his resentment came out just before the elections in Delhi.
Especially in Chandni Chowk, Sahni is said to have a good grip. According to the information, Sahni won the elections for the first time in 1998. He was then defeated by Alka Lamba in the 2015 elections.
National Co-Ordinator of Congress OBC Cell, Jitendra Bansal and his colleagues Yogendra Rathi, Sadhana, Mukesh Chauhan and National President of Bharatiya Bahujan Parivartan Party Prabuddh also joined Aam Aadmi Party back on Saturday.
Welcoming the new member in party, Kejriwal said, “I hope that the presence of Prahlad Singhji will bring positive change in Aam Aadmi Party’s working processes.
