Prayer Meeting Held in New Delhi to Pay Tribute to His Holiness Pope Francis and Terror Victims

New Delhi, (April 24, 2025): The International Council of Jurists organized a solemn Prayer Meeting at V.K. Krishna Menon Bhawan, Bhagwan Das Road, in remembrance of His Holiness Pope Francis, who recently passed away. The event, held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., brought together members of the legal community, diplomats, journalists, and dignitaries to honor the life and legacy of the revered global spiritual leader.

Pope Francis, known for his unwavering commitment to humanity, compassion, and peace, inspired millions through his support for the poor, his leadership in climate action, and his advocacy for the rights of migrants and refugees. His efforts to bridge divides among different faiths earned him deep global respect and admiration.

Dr. Adish Aggarwala, President of the International Council of Jurists, along with several senior advocates, shared heartfelt reflections on the Pope’s legacy. They highlighted his extraordinary work in promoting harmony, equality, and justice across the globe.

In addition to remembering Pope Francis, the gathering also paid tribute to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, particularly the brutal incident in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Senior Advocate Aggarwala asserted that the entire country stands united against terrorism and called for swift and firm action against those responsible. He stressed that the loss of innocent lives cannot and will not be ignored.
