President confers Arjuna Award to Gautam Buddh Nagar DM Suhas LY
In a glittering ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday, President Ram Nath Kovid presented the prestigious Arjuna Award to Gautam Buddh Nagar District magistrate Suhas LY for his superlative performance at the Tokyo Paralympics 2021.
With this, Suhas LY has became the first IAS officer in the country to receive this award.
Neeraj Chopra, Shikhar Dhawan, Rupinder Pal Singh, Bhavina Patel were some of the other sports stars to be conferred with Arjuna Awards.
Arjuna award is one of the highest sporting honours of the country, a sportsperson can get in India. This award is given to sports personalities who have brought laurels to India in the world by performing brilliantly and encouraging sports talent.
