Punjab University Students Elections Results: Students rejected BJP and Congress, Says Digvijay Chautala

New Delhi :– The Students for Society (SFS), a leftist organisation not affiliated to a political party, won the president’s post in the Punjab University students’ council on Thursday by a margin of 719 votes.

Defeating the Congress-NSUI and BJP-RSS student organisation ABVP, a 22 year old student leader Kanupriya, won the post. A prominent leader of the Students for Society (SFS), Kanupriya is pursuing her post graduation in Zoology.

On Friday, Addressing the media on Punjab University Students Council Election Results,Indian National Students Organisation (INSO), President, Digvijay Chautala said,

“I would like to talk about the Indian National School Organizations role in punjab university results. The results have came, General secretary and Vice President have been elected are from leftist organisation and are not affiliated to any political party like BJP and Congress.”

He further said, “As we all know Punjab University is a vibrant university. In which 76% are girls students. I’m really proud that INSO have made their place in council by working very hard in punjab university. It’s a balance between right and left. It is a mirror image for haryana government. All the ministers from haryana who were trying everything to make NSUI and ABVP win, the results showed that they rejected BJP and Congress.”

“These elections mean a lot. Political parties play who play with money and muscle were shown a mirror image,” added Chautala.
