Jaipur, 25th May 2023: The Rajasthan chapter of the Congress hit out at the BJP-led national government on Wednesday, questioning why no legislation has been implemented to prohibit the leak of government exam question papers.

Govind Singh Dotasra, head of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC), stated that the Congress government in Rajasthan has enacted legislation to prevent paper leaks and has taken strong action in such situations.

According to him, government officials involved in leaks have also been fired in accordance with the law.

Last year, the Rajasthan government passed a rule to combat paper leaks, which included penalties of up to ten years in prison and a fine of ten crore for acts relating to recruitment examinations.

Mr Dotasra said the BJP’s claims against the Congress government, which have become a crucial election topic, are without merit because Rajasthan is the only state with a statute prohibiting paper leaks.
