Rajasthan police constable among three arrested for gangraping woman in Delhi

New Delhi, 11 October 2022: In Adarsh Nagar, Northwest Delhi, a 32-year-old lady was allegedly drugged and raped by three men on Tuesday.
The arrested accused are identified as Ajay, who also happens to be victim’s friend and Tara Chand, 34 and Naresh, 38. Chand happens to be a constable with Rajasthan police.
Usha Rangnani, Deputy Police Commissioner said that the Adarsh Nagar police station had received a report of the incident on Sunday. The woman, according to Rangnani, informed police that Ajay, 39, invited her to the hotel and that the other two provided her with a cold beverage.
The victim said that after consuming the cold drink, she felt dizzy and lost consciousness, post which she was sexually abused.
The woman also underwent a medical examination and received counselling. Her report led to the charges of a gang rape, sexual assault, and drugging case. According to Rangnani, all three individuals were located and taken into custody.
