Mumbai, 15th April: Following a 5-year long relationship, actor Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot yesterday at Ranbir Kapoor’s house, Vastu in Bandra.
“Surprisingly, the couple decided to take on 4 pheras, not 7,” said Rahul Bhatt, Alia Bhatt’s half-brother. In Sabyasachi’s collection, the couple wore golden-white shimmer outfits for the wedding.

In the varmala ceremony, Ranbir was seen kneeling down to the bride when he was lifted in the air, leaving the bride struggling.
Bride Alia Bhatt took to the social media to express her feelings, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home, in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. The pictures and videos of the wedding are creating a buzz on the social media. The house was decorated with golden-yellow lights and looked enchanting. After the wedding, the couple also danced in red outfits and showcased their emotions.
The wedding was attended by over 50 guests, keeping it simple, elegant and happy. The guest list included father Mahesh Bhatt, mother Soni Razdan, sisters Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, brother Rahul Bhatt while from Ranbir’s side, mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor, siblings Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karishma Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, brother-in-law Bharat Nanda, niece Samara Nanda among others.
