Ranveer to replace Shah Rukh Khan in Upcoming Don 3, claim sources

Mumbai (India), 20th May 2023: Ritesh Sidhwani, the producer said the third instalment of Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller Don is presently in the works. Although Farhan Akhtar, the film’s producer and director, is still working on the script, there has been speculation that SRK will not star in Don 3.

According to recent rumours from a top news outlet, Shah Rukh Khan’s Don role was up for grabs, with Ranveer Singh and a few other actors vying for it. According to a source who spoke with a news publication, Ranveer will play the title role in Don 3.

Following Shah Rukh’s departure, the producers of Don 3 sought a suitable replacement who could carry on Don’s legacy, do it justice and perform equally good at the box office. Ranveer has long been a favourite of the entertainment industry, appearing in several of their big films, including Dil Dhadakne Do and Gully Boy.

Ranveer Singh, who appears to have already shot the promotional video, is said to be participating in the Don 3 announcement. According to the source, Ranveer Singh will take over as the new Don, and Shah Rukh Khan has been informed as well.

The original Don was released in 2006, with Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas reprising their roles in the sequel, which was published in 2011. Farhan Akhtar directed both films.
