The budget presented by our union Finance Minister Arun jaitley has provided many new things which are being debated in the circle of economists and media and how this budget will provide justice to the common people.

The budget has talked about ten new things under which the budget has been prepared and these things are related to farmers, the rural economy , digital economy , the energetic youth , under privileged section , rural population finance sector andvfiscal management.

Mostly the budget has been tried to deal with the problem which the people have faced during demonetisation and the attempt has been used by the Finance minister so that those who are affected by the ill effects of demonetisation should get some relief.

“ MGNREGA has been given ten thousand crores and its additional resources so that more and more people get livelihood,” said Dr. Chaturvedi.

The education sector has been given some new policies of setting of an testing agency which will conduct all the entrance examination which was earlier conducted by CBSE and AICTE.

The CBSE is not entitled to conduct these entrance exams now NTA will conduct all entrance examinations related to pre-medical , JEE and other allied entrance tests.

“It is expected that NTA will provide better facilities to the millions of youths who are going to appear in the examinations,” the director said.

The second policy in the sector of education is the university grants commission (UGC) will undergo some reforms and the colleges will be given autonomy

According to me it should be given on the accreditation which is provided by NAAC. which is a part of UGC.

“UGC has been a big failure from last few decades as it has not been mint for higher education . After independence it was set up to provide financial assistance to colleges and universities and it is going beyond this and trying to regulate rigid frame work and rule to colleges and universities,” he added.

70% of higher education is being handled by private colleges and universities.

“UGC has been always come under corruption and subjectivity issues,“he further added.

In the favour of school education there has been two announcements. The first one is government will invest on creating and developing innovation activities and the second one is that the school education will lead to oriented based learning.

The middle class families have not been given any such benefit and the union budget has failed to give them.

The tax relief to those who are earning less than three lakh per annum rupees twelve thousand relief to those low paid people and the people who are earning above five lakhs given hardly any relief by the politically designed budget of the NDA government. The expectations of people have not been full filled.
