Robbers posed as government official to loot silverware worth crores on Yamuna Express way

Noida : On Greater Noida to Agra Yamuna Express way a massive loot was conducted by some unidentified criminals in which criminals robbed silver jewellery worth around 5 crore from a jeweller. The robbers allegedly posed as Sales Tax officials and went away with priced silver products slated to be around 5 crore rupees.

The police has formed teams to investigate this massive loot. Five people including the driver have been reportedly arrested in the matter. Police officials are posting about soon resolving this robbery incident which took place on 3rd April.

The alleged robbery took place near Jewar toll plaza. Yamuna Expressway has been very prone to incidents of robbery and thefts. The incidents have decreased a bit after the much hyped Jewar Gangrape case, which amounted to increased security on the stretch. However once again there seems to be lack of adequate security measures contributing to increase of such incidents on the stretch.
