RRR Actor Ram Charan attends G20 Event in Srinagar, shakes leg with delegates

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), 22nd May 2023: Ram Charan, the famous actor from the film ‘RRR,’ arrived in Srinagar on Monday to take part in a side event of the third G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting in the Kashmir valley.
J&K’s Information and Public Relations Department tweeted, “Actor Ram Charan arrives at Srinagar airport to attend the first side event on ‘Film Tourism for Economic Growth and Cultural Preservation’ of the 3rd G20 #Tourism Working Group meeting.”
The actor made international news this year when ‘RRR’ won the Oscar for best original song for ‘Naatu Naatu,’ which included them. The film was also nominated for a Golden Globe.
He was present at the summit as a representative of the Indian film industry to address the role of film tourism in economic growth and cultural preservation. During the G20 summit, the actor was also seen shaking a leg with delegates.
Fans of Ram Charan, who consider him a global celebrity, regard this as yet another distinction for their favourite actor. It is believed that this is the first time an actor from Tollywood has represented the Indian film industry at a renowned global event.
The G20 summit is an annual gathering of world leaders from the world’s largest economies to discuss and address global concerns, primarily those related to economics, finance, and global governance.
The Tourism Working Group meeting was chosen by India, which is hosting the international event. This includes a panel discussion on the role of film tourism in economic development and cultural preservation.
Srinagar’s security measures have been beefed up. For the G20 Summit, which will last three days. A three-tier security system for aerial surveillance and drone monitoring has been implemented in Kashmir.
NSG and marine commandos are stationed across the venue. J&K Police’s special operations group (SOG) will be deployed in different locations to provide security cover in the event of a terror attack.
