New Delhi (India), 20th March 2023: The Mumbai Police on Sunday said that the Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan has received a fresh set of threats via email. An FIR has been lodged in the matter against Gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and another man called Rohit.
Khan was prompted to watch Bishnoi’s most recent TV appearance , if he hadn’t already. Khan was further advised in the email to “speak face-to-face with Goldy bhai” if he wished to resolve the issue.
Lawrence Bishnoi in a recent TV interview had threatened the actor and expressed that Salman had insulted his entire community by killing the blackbuck. He had urged the Bollywood ‘Bhai’ to come and apologise to their deity or face consequences.
Sections 120-B (punishment for criminal conspiracy), 506-II (punishment for criminal intimidation), and 34 (common purpose) of the Indian Penal Code were used to file the FIR.
Notably, the Mumbai Police had lodged a FIR against an unidentified individual in June 2022 for sending a threatening letter to the 57-year-old actor and his father, lyricist Salim Khan.
The murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala is being investigated, and Brar and Bishnoi, who is presently detained in the Bathinda jail, are leading suspects in the case.
