Sandhyangan Greater Noida Celebrates Prak Pujo Bodhon 2026 With Music, Dance and Cultural Traditions

Greater Noida News (05/10/2026): Sandhyangan Greater Noida organised Prak Pujo Bodhon 2026 at the YMCA Auditorium in Greater Noida on October 4, bringing together members of the Bengali community, cultural enthusiasts and distinguished guests for an evening dedicated to music, dance, devotion and togetherness ahead of Durga Puja.
The programme created a vibrant festive atmosphere as the community came together to mark the traditional invocation of Goddess Durga. The evening featured cultural performances, music, dance and other artistic presentations that reflected the richness of Bengali traditions while also highlighting the spirit of unity and cultural harmony in Greater Noida.

The event was organised as a pre-Durga Puja celebration, giving members of the community an opportunity to come together and celebrate their cultural roots. The organisers expressed their gratitude to all the special guests, performers, supporters and members of the community whose presence and encouragement contributed to making the evening memorable.
Among the distinguished guests present at the programme were Durgeshwari Singh, Niladree Deb Choudhury, Gajanan Mali and Sudip Chowdhury, along with representatives of Purbo Digonto Foundation and DNA Media.
Gajanan Mali Recalls 22-Year Association With Greater Noida Kali Bari
Speaking at the programme, Ten News Network Founder Gajanan Mali spoke about his more than two-decade-long association with Greater Noida Kali Bari. He recalled regularly participating in Durga Puja and other major religious and cultural celebrations organised by the community. He reflected on the journey of Greater Noida Kali Bari and acknowledged the contribution of several individuals who played an important role in strengthening the community and its cultural activities.

He mentioned the efforts of Shyamal Roy, Atish Sanyal and Ashok Chatterjee, among others. He also remembered Malay Chakraborty and highlighted his contribution to the development and growth of Kali Bari.
He said that the progress of the temple and its Durga Puja celebrations has been the result of the collective contribution, dedication and participation of numerous members of the community over the years.
Extending his best wishes to the community for the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations, Gajanan Mali assured his continued support. Durgeshwari Singh Felicitated During the Programme
One of the highlights of the evening was the felicitation of Durgeshwari Singh, who has presented the cultural programme Awat Ke Stambh in Lucknow. She has also been recognised with several honours, including the Bharat Nari Shakti Samman 2024, recognition at Sanskriti Utsav 2024, Kathak Personality of the Year Award 2023 and Vashishth Young Achievers Award 2021.

Addressing the gathering, Durgeshwari Singh spoke about the importance of culture and devotion in bringing people together. She said that although she knows only a little Bengali, she thoroughly enjoyed the invocation and worship of Goddess Durga during the programme.
She drew a connection between Kathak and devotion, explaining that Indian classical dance also carries a strong spiritual dimension. She emphasised that languages may differ across communities, but art and culture have the power to connect people beyond linguistic boundaries.

Durgeshwari Singh thanked Priyanka and Abhishek for inviting her to the celebration. She expressed her happiness at being part of the special evening. She also extended her heartfelt wishes to everyone on the occasion of Nav Durga and remarked that the celebration held an even more personal significance for her because her name is Durgeshwari.
