Greater Noida (5 April 2025): The Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025, held at the prestigious Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort from April 1–4, has concluded with a spectacular performance by Saptak Talwar, who secured his first Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) title. The tournament, which boasted a prize purse of ₹1.5 crore, attracted a stellar field of golfers from across the globe, showcasing both established stars and emerging talents.

Saptak Talwar, a 26-year-old golfer from Greater Noida, delivered a flawless final round of 67 to overcome his rivals and claim the title with an impressive 13-under total of 275. His performance in the final round lifted him from third place to the top of the leaderboard, with a narrow one-stroke victory margin over his competitors. Talwar’s victory at his home course was particularly special, as he had been chasing his first title since turning professional in 2021. After starting the day two strokes off the lead, Talwar capitalized on birdie opportunities early in the round, notably on the first two par-5 holes, the second and fourth.

He continued his charge with birdies on the fifth and tenth holes, and although he narrowly missed a five-foot eagle putt on the par-5 12th, his confidence remained intact. Talwar secured his win with pars on the last six holes, including a crucial eight-foot par save on the 16th that kept his advantage intact.

To win at my home course, where I grew up, makes this title all the more meaningful. Reflecting on the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort, Talwar expressed his comfort and connection to the venue: I’ve played here for years, so to come back to my home course and perform well with minimal stress is something I really enjoy. The familiarity with the course made it easier to focus and play my game.
