SBI to run 10,000 ATMs on solar energy in two years

India’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) plans to run 10,000 ATMs on solar power in the next two years, the bank’s CFO Prashant Kumar has said. At present, the bank has 1,200 ATMs which run on solar power. Kumar added that SBI has installed solar panels at 150 of its buildings and plans to identify more such buildings.
