Secretary, MSME Ministry opens IHE 2022, hails it as a great platform for hospitality stakeholders

Greater Noida (03/08/2022): The 5th edition of the most sought-after sourcing hub of Hospitality and F&B industry, India International Hospitality Expo, was inaugurated on Wednesday morning at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.

 

The chief guest for the ceremony was the Secretary of MSME Ministry, B B Swain. Other dignitaries present were Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Expo Mart; R.K Verma, ED, EPCH; Chef D Kumar; Amarjit Ahuja, and the managing director of Bikanervala Shyam Sundar Agarwal.

 

Mr. Rakesh Kumar dotes on the growth of IHE since it first began in 2018 and calls the exhibition a ‘one of a kind interactive event for food producers and vendors.’ He thanks BB Swain, for his continuous endeavours and efforts in the food and hospitality industry and the commerce industry. His presence boosts the morale of all the exhibitors and stakeholders, says Dr. Kumar. He mentions that special attention and focus should be given to the North-eastern states of India and the Himalayan regions wherein the food produced is organic, sustainable, and vital for human health. “IHE is a platform tailor-made for small and big entrepreneurs and helps the MSME Ministry and the Tourism Ministry as well,” said the Chairman.

BB Swain remarks that IHE is one of the best initiatives to bring the suppliers and users together. He also says that this event provides opportunities to companies and stakeholders including women entrepreneurs.

 

When asked by Ten News on the sidelines of inauguration about the schemes set forth by the government for the upliftment of this sector, BB Swain says that this is an industry that gives the maximum possible employment. “If you look at the figures, close to 20% of it is dwelled in food and hospitality related fields and there is immense employment potential.”

During the expo, a Distinguished Appreciation Award was presented to R.K Verma for his accomplishments in the hospitality sector.

 

Lastly, a token of appreciation was presented to the chief guest and all the other dignitaries in attendance.

IHE 2022, taking place from 3rd to 6th August, is one of the finest and well-curated expos in India which is all set to welcome over 20,000 B2B buyers.
