Seminar on “Human Rights Abuses in Pakistan” held in Delhi

NEW DELHI : A day-long seminar on “Human Rights Abuses in Pakistan” was today held at Teen Murti Bhawan. The seminar was organised by Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) & Asian Eurasian Human Rights Forum (AEHRF).

Various issues of Human Rights violation faced by religious and ethnic minorities were discussed at the seminar.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Pandita K N Pandita, former director Centre for Central Asian Studies, Kashmir University said “In Pakistan, the influential land-lords and military have formed an unholy nexues to keep control of the country. For that, they have been using religious clerics to manuplate the general public.”

“Civil governments in Pakistan functions on the dictates of military,” Dr Pandita said.
