After Shahberi Wakeup call admin, authorities initiate strong actions against illegal construction

Risking life of common man builders are indulged in making money by constructing illegal residential apartments. And this money making policy and carelessness of the administration had taken the lives of 9 people in the Shahberi building collapse incident.

Now treating Shahberi incident as a wakeup call district administration has initiated strict measures after receiving direct instructions from state government.

In this regard DM BN Singh had initiated action against 19 builders and developers by ordering enquiry against them and issuing directives for invoking gangster act upon them.

On Tuesday he did a meeting in his office and said, “from now onwards it should be ensured that there should not be another Shaberi in any corner of the district. If any illegal construction will be done then the responsible officer will have to face the action. Any kind of illegal construction will not be tolerated.

Further he also directed that “A notice should also be issued to public regarding construction taking place in the area that falls under flood land so that public is aware of it.

Apart from this he has also written letter to CEO Greater Noida Authority, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma to take against the illegal colonizer and builders.

Now Greater Noida authority has issued notice to 24 more builders and more than 2 dozens buildings in Yusufpur and Chackshaberi village are being surveyed. Sooner they will also be sealed after issuing notice.

Now authority will conduct an safety audit of all the buildings which will be done officers from Authorities’ Project department, Public Work Departments IIT Roorke. Team will visit different village and will estimate the strength of building and its basement. And as per the team report decision will be taken over demolition of building .
