Sharda University & Hospital Celebrates the 77th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervour

Greater Noida, January 26, 2026: Republic Day was celebrated with great fervour at Sharda University and Hospital, located in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida. The program commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem by P.K. Gupta, Chancellor of Sharda University; Y.K. Gupta, Pro-Chancellor; Yoga Guru Dr. Dayashankar Vidyalankar; Sudhanshu Mittal, President of KKFI; and senior members of the university and hospital.
Students presented cultural performances that created a devotional and patriotic atmosphere. They performed dances to patriotic songs, while NCC cadets conducted a march-past and offered a salute. On this occasion, students, faculty, and staff pledged to uphold the honour, dignity, and pride of the nation.
Special Guest Dr. Dayashankar Vidyalankar remarked, “On Republic Day, we draw inspiration to overcome differences and contribute to every aspect of nation-building. India is presenting itself to the world in a new form. To become Vishva-Guru, we must first be self-reliant, developed, and exemplary. We are fortunate to be part of this journey.”
Chief Guest Sudhanshu Mittal, President of KKFI, said, “Students are the future of India, and they must be inspired to fulfil their duties. The National Flag symbolises our unity, and children should learn from the lives of patriots. Dreaming is essential—every student must dream with passion and determination to advance the nation. Countries are measured by GDP and internal strength; India has reached the 16th position in global indices, setting new benchmarks that others now seek to emulate.”
Chancellor P.K. Gupta emphasized, “In the past 15 years, education in India has seen remarkable progress. We believe no other country has witnessed as much innovation as India. Work done with sincerity always succeeds. Many young minds are becoming entrepreneurs, building ventures that are flourishing with notable success. To make India an economic powerhouse, we must continue to move forward with determination.”
Y.K. Gupta, Pro-Chancellor, Sharda University, stated that “Republic Day pushes us to reflect on how far we have come and how far we still need to go. Real patriotism lies in creating knowledge, nurturing character, and serving society. Every student carries the power to shape a better tomorrow through learning and responsibility. Let us move forward with purpose, unity, and hope for a stronger India.”
The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sibaram Khara; Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parmanand; Dr. R.C. Singh; Dr. Bhuvanesh Kumar; Dr. Ajit Kumar; Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Pramod Kumar; along with various Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and staff.
