Shot dead yesterday, Sumit Gurjar’s Family allege encounter to be fake, refuse to claim body!

Yesterday Police shot dead a criminal named Sumit Gurjar following an encounter in Chi 4 area of Kasna Police Station, Greater Noida. Pari Chowk SI Satish also got injured in the cross fire. Police also recovered weapons from the spot including a Gun which was looted during liquor vend cash van robbery that took place in Ecotech-3 Noida few days back.
The criminal had received around four bullet shots and succumbed to his injuries while being transferred to the hospital.
Family Alleges Encounter to be Fake
The body of dead criminal Sumit Gurjar was later sent for the postmortem. However today when his family members arrived at the hospital, they claimed the encounter to be fake.
Family members alleged that there is no previous case on Sumit Gurjar while police had referred to him as a professional criminal.
Family members also allege that before 30th September there is no criminal history of Sumit Gurjar. After leaving from Postmortem house, the relatives also blocked Kalindi Kunj road in protest. Relatives are demanding assurance from Senior officials regarding a judicial inquiry of the encounter.
A reward of 50,000 Rupees was announced on Sumit Gurjar by SSP GB Nagar and approved by IG Range Meerut on Monday. On Tuesday evening the criminal was shot dead following an encounter.
