Six teams win the Highest Category gold award

Adding another feather to its cap of accolades and recognition on a global platform, six teams represented Amara Raja in Bangkok, Thailand at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) held from 23rd to 26th August 2016 and all the six teams won the Highest Category Gold Award. The six teams from Amara Raja competed against 324 teams across 13 countries and managed to grab top honours.Amara Raja initiated QCC with 5 Circles in the year 2004 and since then it has grown leaps and bounds. Through the dedicated effort over the years, the last financial year witnessed around 647 Circles completing around 1047 Projects.This year about 4000 employees participated in the Quality Circles program throughout Amara Raja and the benefits in terms of Cost reduction, Quality improvement, Productivity improvement, Delivery improvement, Improvement in Safety and ergonomics are indeed very valuable to the operations.About Amara Raja:Amara Raja is amongst India’s leading business conglomerates with interests spanning verticals from the production of lead acid batteries (AMARON brand), power conversion products, sheet metal products, precision components, electronic products, Infrastructure Development, industrial services to food processing.
