New Delhi, 1 October 2022: The Union Cabinet Minister, Smriti Irani today claimed that Delhi government and their leader, Arvind Kejriwal was promoting “new fantasies and lies” while campaigning in Gujarat.

She further claimed that as a result of his backing for individuals who plotted to deny Gujarat and Gujaratis access to water from the Narmada dam, women in Gujarat will never vote for Kejriwal.

Speaking to a group of BJP women’s wing activists, Union Minister for Women and Child Development claimed that the AAP national convener had praised individuals who had worked together to deny the public access to Narmada water.
She said that AAP was attempting to pay off BJP employees. Union Minister, Irani also stated that Kejriwal is campaigning for the forthcoming elections by telling lies about the people of Gujarat, but he will experience defeat the same way he did in Varanasi in 2014 when he lost to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Lok Sabha.

“He is currently in Gujarat selling new fantasies and lies. The gift of Vande Bharat and the Ahmedabad metro trains were given to Gujarat and Gujaratis by Prime Minister Modi, but the AAP’s involvement in a scam involving the acquisition of DTC buses in Delhi is a terrible reality, I would want to inform those who are here to run for office,” she said.

During his campaigning in Gujarat, which is mostly focused on the “Delhi model,” Kejriwal has made a number of “guarantees” including unemployment benefits for women and young people, free electricity, healthcare, and education.

Irani referred to Kejriwal as a “dream trader from Delhi” and claimed that as Gujarat’s chief minister, Modi had battled to guarantee that women in their homes had access to safe drinking water from the Narmada River and that every family has water security. She claimed that 10 crore households now have access to safe drinking water from taps as a result of the Prime Minister’s Jal Jeevan Mission, an initiative of the Centre.

“Kejriwal is in Gujarat at a time of darkness. But he must pay close attention since Gujarat is so bright with progress that he will go blind. He won’t be able to trick these women. They will support the BJP once more by casting their ballots with the lotus symbol, “added Irani.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader further alleged that despite Kejriwal’s eight years in office, 690 slums in Delhi still lack access to potable water.
