Sri Sri Ravi Shankar delivers keynote address at 12th IWEC Awards & Conference

Nov. 11, 2019, New Delhi : Renowned Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar delivered keynote address at the 12th Annual Awards & Conference of International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation,  IWEC 2019, organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO).

Addressing a gathering of over 250 women entrepreneurs from 20 countries,  Sri Sri Ravi Shankar spoke about Emotional intelligence in Business and Leadership. He stressed upon the benefits of a calm mind to win over any difficult situation in work and personal life. Taking stress does not lead to success, rather adversely affect both mind and body. A relaxed mind can lead to ideas and innovations and thus help one to move towards success, giving examples of Einstein and Newton..  The talk was followed by a 10 minute guided meditation to experience calm and peace within.

Started in 2007, IWEC Awards & Conference  is an initiative of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (New York) and US Department of State to present a global platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and connectivity among women business owners worldwide. The Conference with the theme Connecting Women Businesses Globally: Leading the Way to Innovation and Integration has brought  together 250 businesswomen from across 20 countries, cohesively driving the agenda for Scripting Economic Change for women across the globe.

The conference will be followed by the prestigious Award Ceremony where 39 women entrepreneurs will be felicitated for their outstanding performance. Ms Sangita Reddy, Senior Vice President, FICCI & Joint Managing Director Apollo Hospitals Group; Ms Kalli Purie, the Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group and Ms Kiran Chopra, Director, Punjab Kesari Publishers Pvt. Ltd are the three awardees from India, besides 36 awardees from 18 countries.
