Stampede averted at UP CM’s residence

Lucknow: A stampede was averted at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityantah’s residence here with the timely intervention of security personnel who managed to control crowd. Some people, including a couple of women, received minor injuries when they forcibly attempted to enter the CM’s residence for ‘Janata Darshan’, officials said. “Everyday the CM holds a brief ‘Janata Darshan’ to hear the grievances of the people and this morning too, people had queued up outside his official residence”, the officials added. Though officials are yet to ascertain the cause of stampede, eye-witnessess claimed that panic triggered among people when somebody said that only a few of them will be allowed inside. However, senior officials have immediately rushed to the spot and the situation was said to be under control.
