Students’ Merit and Performance Improvement Award Function.

I.T.S Engineering College, one of the premier institutions in the field of Engineering and Management Education organized Students’ Merit and Performance Improvement Award Function. Every year, the institute awards its students to applaud for their academic excellence and considerable improvement.

The ceremony was marked by the presence of Shri. B. K. Arora, Secretary, I.T.S. – The Education Group, Dr. Gagandeep Arora, Dean Academic Administration, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dean Students Welfare, Head of Departments, faculty, staff and students of I.T.S. Engineering College. Chief Guest, Shri. N. K. Garg and Guest of Honour, Shri. Amit Bhardwaj graced the occasion. The programme began with the traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana followed by welcome and felicitation of Chief Guest and Guest of Honour with a bouquet of flower.

Ms. Gangarani Konsam in her welcome speech told that Shri. N. K. Garg who is currently the VP and Head of Quality, RSystems is an enthusiastic and self motivated person with a positive outlook in life and has worked in various domains. She also introduced Shri. Amit Bhardwaj who at present is the Head, Healthcare Sourcing for North America with Cognizant Technology Solutions, North America. Both are renowned professionals in the area of talent acquisition and quality management.

Dr. Gagandeep Arora in his speech gave a brief about the award and mentioned the importance of academic excellence and congratulated all the prize winners. He also encouraged the rest of the students to put more effort so that they can win the awards next time.

Shri. Garg and Shri. Bhardwaj also congratulated the prize winners and motivated them. Shri. Garg motivated the students by saying that we should always strive to do our best in whatever field we choose. Shri. Bhardwaj assured the students that with zeal and persistent effort each one of us can achieve the goal that we have set out for. They also gave a brief about the aspects that a recruiter looks for in a fresher.

The student merit awards were given to 76 students and performance improvement awards were given to 125 students. The merit awards were given cash awards of Rs 10,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 2,500 for first, second and third position respectively. The performance improvement awardees were given a token of appreciation.

 

Lastly, Ms. Konsam presented the Vote of Thanks and also congratulated and wished the students a bright future.
